That is perhaps due to the mix of strange fellows (armour makers and other metal workers, hatters, glove makers, weavers, tailors and dyers) who produced here so much in the Middle Ages. And then, you have other remarkable subjects: all the merchants who came from far and wide to buy products as cheaply as possible. Helmond was exposed to many foreign influences. Maybe your ancestors played an important role in the market of the Grand Duchy of Den Bosch. Who knows, maybe you’ll feel a bit at home here!
But to come back to those attractions, apart from the inhabitants of Helmond, there are there all right! You need to do your best because they are hidden in the city.
