Is the mill Welgelegen (which means as much as well-situated) really well-situated? All very interesting questions, which will be answered when you book the Walking Brunch It Hearrenfean! We will walk around in the city and will take a few stops at different restaurants! Be quick to make a reservation, because this concept is unique! Also, walking and having brunch in Heerenveen is a popular thing to do. Is it because of the great architecture of the museum for modern and temporary art Belvédère? Is it the cosy shopping street Dracht? Or maybe it is because of the fact that speedskate-hero Sven Kramer (Olympic champion) was born here? There’s a great chance you’ll bump into him, since everything’s on walking distance in Heerenveen!
And of course we’ll take a peek at the famous Thialf speedskate-stadium. Don’t forget to bring your skates!
We can touch the statues of famous soccer player Abe Lenstra, European banker Wim Duisenberg and the famous Frisian poet Fedde Schurer and have a nice drink and a great bite to eat afterwards! Perhaps even in mill Welgelegen, which could be well situated after all!?
