We will first park the Holland Tour Guides coach in the old fishing village Volendam. We will walk through the harbour and will visit a cheese farm which still manufactures cheese in an authentic way. We will then get on the boat and sail to Marken, just like Volendam an old fishing village, located at the former Zuyder Zee. The old fishery time revives in both villages; the old villagers often still wear traditional costumes. We will then go to the Zaanse Schans, where we will visit an old windmill and will observe how wooden shoes are traditionally manufactured.
We will then go to South Holland, where we will first visit the beautiful city Delft, with her famous history; just think of the murder of Willem van Oranje in de Prinsenhof (you can still see the bullet holes in the wall!). Of course we will visit a pottery here where the delftware is still manufactured. We will then get a breath of fresh air on the beach or will parade on the boulevard of the fashionable seaside resort Scheveningen. We will end the day with a mini tour through The Hague, where we will, amongst others, show you the Royal Palace Noordeinde, the Binnenhof (Dutch Parliament) and the Buitenhof (square in The Hague) and the Vredespaleis (Peace Palace) where the international court is located. We will finally visit Madurodam, where we can observe Holland……………..on a scale of 1:25…..
