We will visit the traditional fishing village Volendam, world-famous because of the traditional costumes, fishery and the Palingpop (pop music by groups from the village of Volendam). We will get on the boat and go the Marken, the former island in the Zuyder Zee with the striking lighthouse Het Witte Paard, the beautiful wooden houses and the local population who usually still wears traditional costumes. Along the way we will visit a cheese farm and will observe how the cheese is still manufactured in the traditional way.
