Amsterdam by means of Holland Tour Guides coach; while you relax and enjoy the beautiful canals, historic canalside houses and all other (historic but also modern!) buildings and interesting objects of interest, the HTG guide will tell you everything you want to know and the HTG driver will make sure that you will arrive safely on the most beautiful spots. We will visit the Royal Palace, the National Monument, the Magere Brug (bridge) and the Albert Cuyp market. We will also visit an old mill (located at the Amstel) and will examine how the most beautiful stones are polished at a diamond factory.
From Amsterdam we will go to Zaandam, where we will visit the Zaanse Schans. You will find numerous original Zaandam buildings here, which were brought (from various places) to this region and were built up again here. There used to be hundreds of mills here; there are 12 left on the Zaanse Schans; most of them still function! We will visit a wooden shoemaker to check how this traditional footwear has been manufactured in the same way for ages!
The HTG coach will then bring you to the fishing village Volendam, located at the former Zuyder Zee, nowadays Ijsselmeer. We will see the old harbour, the characteristic houses and the women who usually still wear traditional costumes. We will sail to the former island Marken, with her characteristic lighthouse, Het Witte Paard. We will also visit a cheese farm, where the cheese is still manufactured in a traditional way. Taste and experience the traditional cheese!
