11.00 - 13.00 Utrecht City Tour Holland Tour Guides takes you to Utrecht, the centrally situated capital of the province of Utrecht of the Netherlands.
This tour, through the splendid surrounded by canals old city, leads you among others along the Oudegracht and the Nieuwegracht with the well-known yards and wine cellars; the low quays and tunnel shaped cellars that end up here.
The city of Utrecht possesses, often very old churches (the Romanesque Pieterskerk dates back for instance to the 11th century!), a truly Old Age town castle and several small courtyards among which the Beyerskameren.
13.00 - 14.00 Lunch After this very interesting walk through Utrecht, we will let you have a well-deserved rest and an extended lunch in a restaurant especially selected by Holland Tour Guides.
14.00 - 15.00 Climbing the Domtoren An outing in Utrecht without climbing the Domtoren is incomplete! This is where we will take you up a century old staircase on a vertical hike of some 112 metres. The view is breath taking!
15.15 - 16.15 Cruise Utrecht We started the day along the quays of the Old canal and the New Canal and we will end the day here. The lovely city centre of Utrecht with her many centuries old canals begs to be viewed from the water's edge! You will hear the nicest stories on all the curiosities of the Dom Town and her people. A fantastic end to a beautiful day!
If you wish to extend the day, for instance with a drink or dinner, this is not a problem! Just leave it to Holland Tour Guides!
