We will get on a luxurious coach together with the Holland Tour Guides guide who will welcome you. Both the coach and the guide will stay with you during the whole day. We will drive to Delft where we will visit a factory with original Delft ware.
10.30 - 12.00 Visit the Delft blue factoryWe will first drink a cup of coffee together and eat a delicious apple pie. You will get a guided tour through the company museum, where you will see beautiful porcelain showpieces, produced in beautiful Delft blue. We will also show you how the porcelain is painted; you will get a demonstration of it. Pay attention; you might do this at home as well…! We will end the guided tour in the showroom, where you can buy something if you want to. Finally you will receive a nice souvenir.
12.30 - 13.30 Lunch in the Euromast From Delft the coach will bring you to the Euromast in Rotterdam, where we will have a TOP lunch together. Top lunch? Definitely! We will have lunch 100 meters above the ground! During your lunch you will already get a beautiful impression of Rotterdam, after lunch we will take a further, closer look at Rotterdam.
13.30 - 14.30 Tour Rotterdam As mentioned, we will descend to a ‘normal’ level again and will take a look at the city. Of course we will visit the harbors, until recently the largest of the world! The city also has many architectonic highlights; in 2007 Rotterdam was, not for nothing, THE architecture city of the Netherlands! Already before the 2nd World War the city was a forerunner in this field. During the war a lot was destroyed in the city centre but fortunately a part has also been preserved; for example take a look at the beautiful ‘glass’ Van Nelle factory or the Huis Sonneveld. After the war Rotterdam was built up again and in that period (until today!) Rotterdam has had a special bond with striking architecture. Take a look at daring projects like the Groothandelsgebouw, the Kunsthal, the famous cube homes, the LuxusTheater and the Erasmusbrug (bridge).
15.00 - 16.00 Tour Den Haag / Binnenhof
After having seen Rotterdam, we will of course also visit Royal The Hague, where our Queen and parliament are established. Our country is governed from here! We will take you along the Palace Noordeinde, built in 1533, also called “Het Oude Hof" (the Old Court) located in the Hofkwartier district, where you will also find many beautiful buildings, built and designed according to the Art Nouveau Style. Of course we will also show you the Binnenhof (Dutch Parliament) and the Buitenhof (square), where you might meet a parliamentary celebrity! We will also take a look at the impressive Peace Palace, where the international court of justice is established.
16.15 - 17.30 Visit Madurodam / Scheveningen We will pass Scheveningen, one of the nicest Dutch seaside resorts with the Kurhaus and the Pier and this will give you a good impression of our North Sea coast. In Scheveningen the park Madurodam is located, where you will find characteristic Dutch buildings and areas of the Netherlands copied down to the last detail, however 25 x smaller than the original. Old Amsterdam canals, Schiphol Airport (inclusive of planes which taxi along the runway), but also highlights of places which we visited today can be observed again.
We will finally offer you the opportunity to end the day together with a dinner in a restaurant selected by Holland Tour Guides. Inquire about the opportunities!
