Out on an adventure in the second biggest town in the province of Gelderland!
10.30 - 11.00 Coffee & cake
The best start of the day!
11.00 - 13.00 Arnhem City Tour The Holland Tour Guide takes you on a trip through the Greenest city by the Rhine. Arnhem, for centuries already, has this name because of its 15 parks, the many town creeks and ditches which all in all create a green environment.
The Holland Tour Guides lets you see what is left of the rich history of the town and her role in the Gelre region at the time of the Union of Utrecht, the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands and as capital city of the province of Gelderland in the United Kingdom of the Netherlands.
13.00 - 14.00 Lunch A bit of a rest while having lunch after this nice trip through Arnhem.
14.00 - 15.00 Historical Cellars Under the expert guidance of your HTG guide, we will view the recently rediscovered and restored Middle Ages cellars in the city centre of Arnhem. These cellars were originally used for storing for example wines. The cellars are linked together by means of tunnels, the main tunnel has been fitted with a transparent roof. This allows you, from the tunnels, to see people shopping but remember, they can see you too...!
15.00 - 16.00 Eusebiuskerk Another top class event is the St. Eusebius church that during the battle at Arnhem in the Second World War was virtually completely destroyed, but has since been beautifully restored. We will glide up, with the help of the glass panorama lift, 73 meter high, where we can enjoy the lovely river landscape and from where we can see right up to Germany! A real climax to a day full of climaxes!
As soon as the lift brings you back to terra firma, it will be time to say good-bye to your Holland Tour Guide and the beautiful city of Arnhem. Or maybe not! Of course, you can end this lovely day with a dinner. Enquire about the various possibilities!
