Breda is one of the oldest cities in the province Noord-Brabant; it was granted cityrights as early as in 1252. Participating in the Holland Tour Guides Quest will give you the opportunity to experience the vivid history of this city. We’ll see the most important sights such as the Begijnhof, the Spanjaardsgat and the Castle of Breda. By answering the questions, you will learn all about the way the inhabitants of Breda suffered from the Spanish occupation during the Eighty Year’s War. But we’re also happy to show you the Grote Markt and the historical (partly restored) waterways, canals and moats. During the tour, there’s of course time to take a break now and again and to enjoy the delicacies provided to you by HTG!
